The holidays literally make my heart feel like floating away. I love love love thinking of all the things I’m grateful for and who has made my life so special. My hubby and I were out on a date with some friends recently and I was so excited I just blurted out “I just LOVE love!”… to which our friends and my dear hubby started laughing. Their faces were all saying, “OK Amanda… simmer down there girl.”
Because of this LOVE of love, I’ve created a printable to share with teachers and aides. Summer was intensely chaotic. The beginning of the school year was no better. All that to say, I definetly did NOT learn much about my kids’ teachers at the beginning of the year. But I am ready to now!
If you’re anything like me, you could use a quick and easy printable to share with your teachers to find out their faves around the holidays. I did my best to make them quick for the teacher as well! It’s only one page and it covers all of their “favorites”. It also asks for their birthday so if you happen to be on your “A” game you can get them a little something then too.
Honestly, I rarely have my kids do adorable, hand-made, pinteresty things… We live on a tight-ish budget. Therefore, my thoughtful moments are not lavish or incredibly time consuming. I just like to know what the people that I LOVE, love 🙂 That way, when I’m out shopping and I remember that their favorite candy bar is a Butterfinger, I can show up at school with one. When I know that Mrs. Smith does not like coffee, I’ll show up with tea instead. Catch my drift? Not over-the-top-life-consuming, just thoughtful and aware.
Last week I was able to make a wreath for $4 out of a store bought wiring and our own tree trimmings. Ollie’s aide had mentioned how much she loves having real trees but can’t due to family allergies. I tried my hardest to remember that and as quick as possible, make it and send it her way. I was tickled to death when she was brimming with the thankful tears. So so so happy. It doesn’t take much to show someone how much we love them.
To get the printable simply subscribe over there ⇐ on the left, and you’ll receive the printable in your inbox! (I email on average 1-3 times per month notifying readers of new blog posts.) Regardless of if you get the printable, I encourage everyone to think of someone you’re grateful for and find a way to touch their heart this week. Thankfulness not only blesses the one we give to, but it is such a gift to us as well.
Thankfulness is a breath of fresh air to our souls. It confirms that we’re going to be fine and we have all that we need. So much so, that we can give a little (or a lot!) to someone else. I love love LOVE this thought. It’s through thankfulness that we can feel content and at peace.
Have fun this week friends! And if you feel so brave… leave a comment later about what you gave and who you were able to touch! Stories of others generosity fuels the flame and keeps thankfulness alive!
